Glen Coe is considered to be one of the most beautiful glens in Scotland and is from a historical point of view famous for the Massacre of Glencoe. In the early morning of 13 February 1692 a massacre began simultaneously in three settlements and thirty-eight MacDonalds from the Clan MacDonald of Glencoe were killed by the guests who had accepted their hospitality.
